Reciprocal Space Station (RSS) is a consortium writing open-source software for the next generation of structural biology. Our tools span X-ray crystallography, cryo-EM, and the AI that increasingly connects structure to function. Weβre an open community that welcomes the involvement and contributions of academics, industry, and non-profits from across the world of structural biology.
RSS began with reciprocalspaceship, a crystallographically-aware extension of pandas that was a first interface between the world of crystallography and scientific python & AI. Since then, RSS has grown into a broader collection of packages united by a common philosophy: open-source code, engineering and science as equals, and the belief that structural biology is about to blast beyond the single-structure paradigm.
We welcome contributors at all levels. If you build tools for structural biology and share these values, you too are a 1/π§βπ!
